The T&C you are siging up to below were written by our legal advisors (sorry). In a nutshell what you are signing up to is:
- you promise to behave yourself on the site
- we can terminate your registration if you don't
- the information on the site is as accurate as we can make it, but we make no promises
- when you buy products your contract is with the product supplier, not us
- we will absolutely respect your privacy as per your wishes (we are registered under the Data Protection Act)
By using the Mygreenfootprint service, you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
In these terms and conditions: -

* “you, your ” relates to the person or entity who contracts with us for the use of mygreenfootprint.com for the services as described below;
* “venue / site” means mygreenfootprint.com;
* “user ” means a user of mygreenfootprint.com;
* “ green ” (adj.) means behaviours, products and services specifically intended or designed to be environmentally responsible;
* “ethical” (adj.) means being in accordance with accepted principles of right and wrong that govern the conduct of a profession or business, in particular in relation to the environmental responsibilities of the profession or business;
Mygreenfootprint offers the following services: -
* Information on environmental issues and ways to improve an individual;s environmental impact;
* Tools (including assessments and calculators) to assist individuals in changing their environmental behaviour;
* Ability for users to contribute and to discuss information on environmental and ethical issues;
* Access to products and services supporting an environmentally conscious lifestyle;
* Links to other sources of environmental and ethical information;
You should be aware that mygreenfootprint.com is a venue to allow ‘green’ and ‘ethical’ products to be advertised by ‘green’ companies’ as chosen by Mygreenfootprint. Mygreenfootprint does not have control of the price and/or delivery and at no time do we have possession of anything listed or sold through the Site. Any contract created for the sale of goods advertised on the Site is between you and the supplier only. At no time do you enter into a contract for the sale of goods with us.
2.1 The membership will commence from registration until cancellation by yourself or until cancellation or termination by Mygreenfootprint.
2.2 To register as a member of mygreenfootprint.com you must provide a username, password, name to be addressed on the Site and valid e-mail address. Further details will be required if products or services are to be purchased through the Site.
2.3 As stated in paragraph 2.2 you will provide a username and password at the time of registration.
2.3.1 You may change your password at any time during membership from your account pages.
2.3.2 It is your responsibility to keep your password secret.
2.3.3 If at any time you suspect someone has discovered your password then you must change your password.
2.4 Registration provides access to areas of the Site not available to unregistered users.
3.1 You may give notice by e-mail to contact@mygreenfootprint.com to cancel your membership at anytime after registration.
3.2 Should you cancel in accordance with clause 3.1 we will deactivate your membership account within 14 days from receipt of notice.
3.3 Please refrain from using your membership account after providing notice.
3.4 Once your membership has been cancelled we may hold all records relating to your membership for a period of up to six years.
3.5 Once your membership has been cancelled you will be free to rejoin as a new user in accordance with paragraph 2.
4.1 We will use our best endeavours to keep the information database up to date and accurate.
4.2 We will use our best endeavours to ensure that ‘non-green’ companies are not affiliated with the Site.
4.3 We will use our best endeavours to ensure that the Site is maintained in a useable state.
5.1 You will not: -
5.1.1 post, list or upload content or items which is inappropriate for the Site;
5.1.2 fail to pay for items purchased by you;
5.1.3 post, list or upload false, inaccurate, misleading or defamatory content (including personal information);
5.1.4 take any action that may undermine the feedback provided by users on products and services of the ‘green’ and ‘ethical’ companies associated with the Site (such as displaying feedback information on, or exporting feedback information to, non- Mygreenfootprint Limited Sites, or using it for purposes unrelated to mygreenfootprint.com);
5.1.5 transfer your membership account and User ID/password to another party without our express consent;
5.1.6 distribute or post spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes via the Site;
5.1.7 distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm mygreenfootprint.com, or the interests or property of mygreenfootprint.com users;
5.1.8 copy, modify, or distribute mygreenfootprint.com copyrighted works trade marks, or other content from the Site, without our express consent; or
5.1.9 collect information about users, including email addresses, without their express consent.
5.2 You must report to us if you believe that a user has acted in breach of the above obligations.
5.3 You must report to us of any instances of Spam (unsolicited commercial communications) received by you from companies who sell or advertise through mygreenfootprint.com.
5.4 You will not assume the offer, sale, purchase, export or import of any item is valid and legal simply because it is advertised for sale through the Site.
6.1 We may, without limitation to other remedies, issue warnings to you, limit, suspend, restrict your access to and your activities on the Site or terminate our services and your account without notice and/or take legal steps to stop you from using the site if (without limitation to other potential causes of inconsistent use):
6.1.1 you act in contravention of these terms and conditions or if you act in a manner which goes against the purpose of the Site;
6.1.2 we consider that you are exposing Mygreenfootprint to the risk of financial loss or legal liabilities;
6.1.3 we consider or have received reports that you have acted in a way which would be considered harassment of Mygreenfootprint staff or users.
6.2 Either party may terminate this agreement without prior notice if the other becomes bankrupt or goes into liquidation.
7.1 The website may contain opinions and statements from its users. We do not condition, warrant or guarantee the truthfulness, or accuracy of any of the content.
7.2 We make no condition, warranty or guarantee that: -
7.2.1 the service will meet your specific requirements;
7.2.2 the service will be un-interrupted, secure or error-free;
7.2.3 the results from the service or products are accurate or reliable;
7.2.4 that the quality of the service or related products will meet your expectations;
7.2.5 that all parts of the service will be available at all times including but not limited to the website, e-mail or SMS service (where applicable); and
7.2.6 that the database will be up to date at all times.
7.3 We retain the right to withdraw the service in whole or in part at any time without any liability to you.
7.4 You agree that we shall have no liability for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, income or profits or damages for loss of or damage to property (whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise and whether or not due to our negligence).
7.5 We have no control over, do not guarantee, and you will not hold us responsible for:
7.5.1 the quality, safety or legality of items advertised or sold through the Site;
7.5.2 the truth or accuracy of listings and/or descriptions of advertisements or items sold through the Site;
7.5.3 the ability of the advertisers to Sell items; or
7.5.4 whether an advertiser will actually complete a transaction.
7.6 You agree that the disclaimer found on the website forms part of the terms of this contract. You agree that the terms of the disclaimer are reasonable having regard to the services provided.
8.1 Neither party shall be liable for delay in performing or failure to perform obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control. Such delay or failure shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement and the membership shall be extended by a period equivalent to that during which membership is so prevented.
8.2 If such a delay or failure persists for more than three months either party will be able to terminate this Agreement for convenience by giving 7 days written or e-mail notification.
8.3 For the purpose of this agreement “force majeure” shall mean any factors outside the reasonable control of either party including, without limitation, the following: -
8.3.1 Acts of God, flood, fire, explosion or accident;
8.3.2 Strikes, lock-outs and other industrial or trade disputes of whatever nature;
8.3.3 Breakdowns of systems or network access;
8.3.4 War hostilities (whether war be declared or not), invasion, act of foreign enemies or terrorism;
8.3.5 Rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or civil war;
8.3.6 riot, civil commotion or disorder;
8.3.7 Acts, restrictions, regulations, by-laws, refusals to grant any licences or permission, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any government authority.
You agree to indemnify us and our employees against any action initiated as a result of content that you entered onto the Site.
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
We reserve the right to amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice. You can review the most current Terms and Conditions at any time at our website. Your continued use of the service shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.
Except for our affiliates, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
14.1 Any notice or complaint by the user or other is only valid if served on us by e-mail at our address contact@mygreenfootprint.com.
14.2 Any notice by us to you will be made in writing or by e-mail to the address or e-mail address given on registration.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
The current terms and conditions, privacy policy and disclaimer set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of services you by us. Nothing said by any sales person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any service offered by the provider. Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
This Site has various tools, including self-assessments and calculators, available to its users. Whilst we use our reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of the tools and calculators we do not condition, warrant or guarantee the accuracy or effectiveness of such tools and calculators nor do we condition, warrant or guarantee that these tools will be of use to every user.
Mygreenfootprint accept no liability for financial loss including indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, income or profits or damages for loss of or damage to property.

2. Membership

5. Your Obligations
5.1 You will not: -
5.1.1 post, list or upload content or items which is inappropriate for the Site;
5.1.2 fail to pay for items purchased by you;
5.1.3 post, list or upload false, inaccurate, misleading or defamatory content (including personal information);

8. Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure)
8.1 Neither party shall be liable for delay in performing or failure to perform obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control. Such delay or failure shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement and the membership shall be extended by a period equivalent to that during which membership is so prevented.

12. Privacy
You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.
13. Third party rights
Except for our affiliates, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
14. Notices
